1. The service
eKYCiq (the "App") is an electronic identity-verification service operated by Muscat Tech Solutions. It lets you scan an identity document, complete a live face verification, and share the verified result with participating institutions.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and the lawful holder of the identity document you submit. You may verify only your own identity — submitting another person's document or impersonating another person is prohibited and may be reported.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current information and genuine, unaltered documents.
- Keep access to your registered email account secure; login codes are sent there.
- Do not attempt to defeat, spoof or mislead the live verification (e.g., photographs, masks, replays or manipulated media).
4. The verification result
A verification result reflects automated document reading, liveness analysis and face matching at the time of the check. Acceptance of a result is at the discretion of the receiving institution. We do not guarantee that any institution will accept a result.
5. Data
Your use of the App is subject to the eKYCiq Privacy Policy, which explains what data we collect and how it is handled, retained and deleted.
6. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the App, including attempting unauthorised access, probing or disrupting our systems, or using the App for any unlawful purpose.
7. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time and may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and Muscat Tech Solutions shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the App or reliance on a verification result.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman.
